Polymers and Macromolecule Preparation and Properties

Polymers and Macromolecule Preparation and Properties

Generally macromolecules and polymers cannot be distinguished but, polymers are formed by repeating of structural units whereas in macromolecules, there may or may not be repetition of structural units.

Polymers and Macromolecule Preparation and Properties

It can be understood by taking an example of protein. Protein are macromolecules fo;med by the amino acids. Where amino acids are chemically same but structurally different. All polymers are macromolecules but all macromolecules a re not polymers.
