Introduction Chemistry Notes

→ AR If we study our surroundings and normal life then we will get few pure substances. Generally, the substance is mixture of two or more than two pure substances. These mixed substances, used in our daily life, depend on their compositions. So, their use depends on their compositions in our daily life.

→ For example : The properties of brass (mixture of zinc and nickel) are different from german silver (mixture of copper, zinc and nickel) and bronze (mixture of copper and tin). Beside this, if concentration of fluoride ions present in water is more than 1.5 ppm, yellowness appears in teeth while its concentration of 1.0 ppm prevents tooth decay.

Introduction Chemistry Notes

→ If concentration of flouride ions, is very high then it poisioned water. Besides this, our normal life depends on different percantage and concentration of elements and compounds. In this chapter, we will study methods of preparation of liquid solutions, their properties and colligative properties.
