Collision Frequency Chemistry Notes

Collision Frequency Chemistry Notes

Collision Frequency :

→ The collisions that take place per unit volume of a reaction mixture per second is called collision frequency. The rate of a reaction depends on number of collisions taking place per litre per second.

Collision Frequency Chemistry Notes

Rate = ZAB × e-Ea/RT
Here, ZAB = Collision frequency of reactant A and B
Ea = Activation energy
R = Gas constant
T = Temperature
