## Arrhenius Equation Chemistry Notes

**Arrhenius Equation :**

Arrhenius explained the dependence of rate of reaction on temperature.

According to him,

k = Ae^{-Ea/RT}

Here, A = Arrhenius constant (Pre-exponential factor)

R = Gas constant

E_{a} = Activation energy

e^{-Ea/RT} = Boltzmenn constant

If rate constant of a reaction is k_{1} at T_{1} temperature and k_{2} at T_{2} temperature, then

We know that,

The above equation is called Arrhenius equation.
